Doug is sought-after as a security consultant due to his unique and multifaceted career as a law enforcement officer, an executive protection agent, leader of global corporate security, and as a behavioral threat assessment and management expert.
As a police officer, Doug worked in ‘The Most Dangerous Small City in America,’ Little Rock, Arkansas. He managed thousands of violent crime investigations and arrests, gained extensive experience in understanding violent behavior, protective intelligence, and in dignitary protection during Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign. Doug survived multiple deadly encounters including being wounded during a gun fight while arresting four armed robbers by himself.
At the world’s largest company, Doug was personally responsible for the protection of three CEO’s, executives, board members, and other at-risk executives. Doug has designed estate security for at-risk persons and assessed business and security risks to the global enterprise.
Before retiring from a successful 24-year career with Walmart, Doug led business segments with over $1 billion in annual sales and led or contributed to game changing business initiatives including $4 Generics, Walmart on Campus, Walmart Pay, and the opening of Walmart stores throughout Asia.
Doug is a graduate of the highly regarded Executive Protection Institute, earned designations in Lean Six Sigma and Project Management, is active in the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, is a Certified Institutional Protection Manager through the International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection, and regularly receives and provides sensitive briefings with government entities.
Doug founded the Risk Intelligence Sharing Consortium (RISC), the Violence Prevention Conference of Mid-America, and in 2024 Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders appointed Doug as a Commissioner to the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission.
