Dr. Rana is a PhD. level mental health psychotherapist. Ryan’s PhD training is in Systems theory, an approach to understanding and changing behavior based on understanding context. Ryan is a civilian contractor with the US Army, US Marine Corps, and US Air Force. He regularly conducts training with military and first responder groups and individuals.
Ryan was formerly a university faculty member teaching Systemic psychotherapies – until starting and running his own business, a counseling practice called The Joshua Center.
Ryan travels regularly and speaks as an ICEEFT trainer (International center for Emotionally Focused Therapy) where Ryan teaches the science behind conflict and trains psychologists and therapists to effectively navigate high conflict situations.
Ryan has a social media presence. He is the cofounder and host of several innovative training platforms: The Leading Edge: Transforming your Leadership Through Attachment Science, and a large internet based, psychotherapy training site www.successinvulnerability.com.
